The University of Regina men's hockey team was shutout by the Calgary Dinos on Friday, dropping a 5-0 decision to the host team in Canada West action.
Max Ross, Adam Kambeitz, Coda Gordon, Kevin King and Chris Collins all lit the lamp for Calgary, as the Dinos improved to 4-4-1. Collins also collected two assists in the win.
Calgary got off to a quick start on Friday, as Kambeitz beat
Dawson MacAuley (pictured) five hole just over six minutes in. Gordon added his second of the season a minute later and the Dinos never looked back. Ross scored the lone goal in the second period, before Collins and King iced it with markers in the third period.
MacAuley stopped 34 of the 39 shots that he faced, while his counterpart Steven Stanford stopped all 17 shots that were directed his way.
The Cougars (1-8-0) and DInos will square off again on Saturday evening at the Father David Bauer Arena.
