Regina has drawn within one point of the fifth-place Saskatchewan Huskies in the Canada West standings after two wins over the No. 10-ranked Calgary Dinos.
The Cougars (6-7-9-2) downed the Dinos 6-5 in overtime on Friday night before edging them 5-4 on Saturday.

"What we've done in practice the last couple weeks is starting to pay off," head coach
Sarah Hodges said of the Cougars' offensive explosion. "We shot smarter and created more opportunities offensively and we had some success."
Mount Royal (3-1-16-4) is coming off 4-2 and 2-1 losses against the Manitoba Bisons.
Gavelin leads the Cougars with 16 points on the season, including 11 goals. Waldenberger is close behind her with 12 points, and Meszaros, Sawchuk and
Triston Riemer each have 11.
"Emma has great size and great hands, she's a really smart player and she creates chances by doing the little things with and without the puck," Hodges said of Waldenberger, who is in her first season with the Cougars.
Toni Ross, who won Friday's game in net for the Cougars, has posted a 6-6-1 record on the season to go along with a 2.18 goals-against average and a .931 save percentage.
Jennifer Schmidt got the call on Saturday, and improved her record to 7-3-1. Schmidt has marks of 2.51 and .917 between the pipes this season.
"We've been spoiled by our depth at the goalie position over the last number of years," Hodges added. "We want to keep both of them ready but come playoffs we'll go with who is performing the best."
Reanna Arnold is the points leader for MRU, recording three goals and nine assists on the campaign. Emma Pincott and Jess Ross have split time in net for Mount Royal. Pincott has a 2-7-2 record with a .904 save percentage while Ross is at marks of 2-9-1 and .881.
Friday's game is set for 7 p.m. at The Co-operators Centre and Saturday's rematch will face-off at 3 p.m.
