The University of Regina's women's volleyball team finished the 2015-16 season on Saturday night with a three-set road loss to Saskatchewan.
The Cougars simply had no answer for Emmalyn Copping, who had 14 kills and no errors on 24 total attacks for a .583 hitting percentage in the win. The Huskies hit .500 as a team in the first set alone, then followed that up with a .409 hitting percentage in the second set before finishing with a .372 clip over the three sets, which they won by scores of 25-14, 25-13, and 25-17.
Ashlee Sandiford had seven kills to pace the Cougars, while
Tori Glynn had six kills and a team-leading eight digs in her final match in a U of R uniform.
Jenna Krahn also had six kills and five digs for Regina (1-23).
Glynn (pictured) finishes near the top of the University of Regina's record book in multiple categories, most notably digs where her career total of 774 ranks second in school history behind only Kelly Cowan. Glynn is the only player in the rally-point era to pass the 750 mark in both career digs and career kills, as she also ends up fourth in the U of R's record book with a total of 753 career kills. She also finishes fourth on the career charts in aces (88), ninth in blocks (129), and fifth in sets played (359).
