The University of Regina men's hockey team was downed by a 6-0 margin against the Saskatchewan Huskies at the Rutherford Rink on Saturday night.
After a scoreless first period, the Huskies turned up the pressure, scoring twice in the second and adding four more in the third period.
Jesse Forsberg and Josh Roach each had a goal and an assist, while John Lawrence, Alex Forsberg, Connor Cox and Connor Gay also found the Cougar net.
Michael Herringer made 36 saves for the Cougars while Taran Kozun stopped 24 shots for the shutout victory.
The Cougars (0-2-0) will be on the road again next weekend, with matchups against Mount Royal University in Calgary.
