The Calgary Dinos led from wire to wire in a big win over the University of Regina on Saturday night in a Canada West men's basketball game, ending up with a 95-60 victory to register their second win in as many nights over the Cougars.

Calgary led 21-10 after the first quarter and took complete control of the contest in the second, outscoring Regina by a 31-11 margin to take a 52-21 lead at halftime. Lars Schlueter was 4-for-5 from three-point range and 8-for-14 from the field overall for the Dinos, finishing with a game-high 22 points.

The Dinos (2-0) had three other players score in double figures, including Mambi Diawara (15 points), Brett Layton (13), and Jackson Bayles (12). Layton also had a game-high 13 rebounds to finish with a big double-double in the victory.

Regina (0-2) was paced by
Brayden Kuski and
Kameron Vales, who both had 12 points.
Benjamin Hillis added 10 points for the U of R.

The Cougars will now prepare for their home openers at the Centre for Kinesiology, Health & Sport next weekend. They'll square off with a Trinity Western team that will also bring an 0-2 record into the series, as the Spartans opened up the conference schedule with a pair of close home losses to UBC Okanagan.
