The University of Regina Cougars played to a 1-1 draw with the UFV Cascades in a Canada West women's soccer game on Saturday afternoon at the U of R Field.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- UFV got on the board first thanks to a header by Sofia Faremo in the 23rd minute
- Regina's Taylor Bubnick tied it up just before halftime, taking a nice feed from Peyton Enns and delivering a strike to the left corner of the net from the top of the box
- Making her first career start in net, Cassandra De Amaral made three second-half saves including a brilliant stop on a Halle McCambley breakaway in the 50th minute
STANDINGS
The Cougars (0-2-3) picked up a point, but remain four points out of the final Prairie Division playoff berth as both Alberta and MacEwan won on Saturday.

The Cougars will host No. 2-ranked Trinity Western (4-1-0) on Sunday at noon at the U of R Field.
