MacEwan completes weekend with Saturday win over Cougars

The University of Regina's women's hockey team suffered a 3-0 loss to MacEwan on Saturday afternoon in Edmonton.

HOW IT HAPPENED

After a scoreless first period, Claire Hobbs opened the scoring for MacEwan just shy of the seven-minute mark in the second.
It remained a 1-0 game until late in the third, when MacEwan got a goal from Jayme Doyle and a power play goal from Aryn Chambers in the span of just under three minutes to go up 3-0 with just a few minutes to go.

NOTES

Natalie Williamson got the start in net for Regina and stopped 20 of MacEwan's 23 shots.

NEXT UP

The Cougars will head right back to the province of Alberta next weekend for two games against the University of Calgary. They'll play the Dinos on Friday and Saturday.
