QUICKLY
The University of Alberta Pandas took a 4-0 win over the Regina Cougars for the second straight game on Saturday night at The Co-operators Centre.

HOW IT HAPPENED

• Abby Soyko opened the scoring for the Pandas after deflecting home a point shot from Brooklyn Tews late in the first.
• Soyko also got Alberta's second goal, pouncing on a rebound after Ella Stewner's shot from the point was saved by Arden Kliewer. Jadynn Morden scored her ninth of the season late in the second, giving the Pandas a 3-0 lead through 40 minutes.
• Hayleigh Craig's first of the season capped the scoring eight minutes into the third.

NOTES

• Kliewer stopped 30 of Alberta's 34 shots.
• Neither team was able to convert on the power play. Alberta was scoreless on its four opportunities while the Cougars finished 0-for-6.

NEXT UP
The Cougars have two weekends left in the first half of the Canada West schedule, starting next Friday and Saturday at MacEwan. The Cougars are back at home against UBC on Dec. 1 and Dec. 2 before taking a break until January.
