QUICKLY

The University of Regina's men's basketball team held a 21-point lead at one point in the second quarter, but Calgary came all the way back to claim a 94-90 win in overtime on Saturday night at the Centre for Kinesiology, Health & Sport.

HOW IT HAPPENED

An early 14-2 run helped put the Cougars up 26-17 through the opening quarter. The 21-point lead came with three minutes to go before halftime and the Cougars took a healthy 55-38 advantage into the break.
The third quarter belonged to the Dinos as they outscored the Cougars 26-18, and the visitors' push continued in the fourth as they held Regina without a field goal for the final six and a half minutes of regulation and went on a 10-2 run in that span.
In overtime, Calgary's Jeffrey Tezo hit a big triple with a minute and a half to go that put Calgary up seven. Tezo also hit a pair of free throws with just seconds remaining which made it a two-possession game and sealed the win for the Dinos.

NOTES

Fittingly on Senior Night, Regina's top two players were Carter Millar and Brayden Kuski. Millar finished with 27 points and 9 rebounds, while Kuski poured in 21 points and led all players with 7 assists.
Ezeoha Santiago and Mason Foreman both had 19 points to lead Calgary, which improves to 9-9 with the win.
Calgary's win clinches a playoff berth for the Dinos. The Cougars haven't technically clinched, but will almost certainly head to the postseason as a No. 8, No. 9, or No. 10 seed.
