Women's Volleyball
The Cougars women's volleyball team was in Winnipeg over the weekend for a series against the Manitoba Bisons.
Â
On Friday, the Cougars battled hard, narrowly losing the first set 23-25 and the second set 25-22, and ultimately lost 3-0.
Piper Harkness led all players with 6 blocks, and
Cassadi Klapak added 4 aces.

On Saturday, the Cougars fell 3-0 once again.
Jordy McEachern led the Cougars in kills (15) and aces (2), and
Zoey Thompson added 4 blocks.
Â
Next up, the Cougars head to Calgary to take on Mount Royal on Nov. 28 and Nov. 29.

Women's Basketball
The women's basketball team was in Brandon over the weekend for a pair of games against the Bobcats.
Â
The Bobcats started out hot in what was a high-scoring first quarter, and the Cougars trailed 26-23 after the first. The Cougars picked up their defense and held Brandon to 11 points in the 2
nd quarter to lead 41-27 at half. They pulled away in the second half to win 85-67.

It was balanced scoring for the Cougars overall, with
Rachel Vanderhooft (16),
Cara Misskey (16),
Eden Wells (15),
Jade Belmore (12), and
Izzi Fust (10) all scoring double-digit points. Vanderhooft added a game-high 12 rebounds and
Izzi Fust had the game's only 2 blocks.

The Cougars got off to a great start on Saturday, leading 27-5 after the 1
st quarter, but slowed down in the 2
nd and lead 36-21 at half. They ultimately won 69-45.

Jade Belmore led all scorers with 22 points and added 4 rebounds, 2 assists, 1 block and 1 steal.
Jordyn Neumann had 14 points off the bench on 4-5 shooting.

With their 8-0 start, the Cougars are now ranked 9
th in the latest U SPORTS Top 10 and will look to continue their momentum when they host Mount Royal on Nov. 28 and Nov. 29.

Men's Basketball
The Cougars men's basketball team were also in Brandon to take on the Bobcats this weekend.
Â
On Friday, they lost 95-74.
Â
Isaiah Bay led the Cougars with 12 points, shooting a perfect 5-5 from the field.
Ben Kamba,
Kaz Dornstauder, and
Tutu Akol all added 10 points of their own.

Saturday's game was back and forth throughout, and the Bobcats held a slim 32-29 lead at half. They outscored the Cougars by 10 in the 4
th quarter to win 77-62.

Ben Kamba led the Cougars with 19 points on the night.
Kaz Dornstauder had his third double-double of the season with 14 points and 10 rebounds.

The Cougars will look to rebound this weekend, when they will host Mount Royal on Friday, Nov. 28 and Saturday, Nov. 29.
