Cara Misskey was named a second-team All-Canadian on Wednesday at the U SPORTS All-Canadian Gala in Quebec City, Que.
Misskey enjoyed a sensational campaign, averaging a team-high 14.9 points per game while leading Canada West with a total of 113 assists in the regular season. She continued her strong play in the postseason, collecting 22 points in the team's quarterfinal win over UBC Okanagan and helping the Cougars advance to the Canada West semifinals.
"Cara is not only an incredible basketball player but also a phenomenal leader," Cougars interim head coach
Michaela Kleisinger said. "She had her most outstanding year yet with us, finding the delicate balance of being able to facilitate for others while also creating her own shot. Cara has dedicated six years to the Cougar program and it was great to see her hard work and passion for the game and our team pay off on the floor."
