UNIVERSITY OF REGINA 2011-12: Started every Canada West match at middle blocker for the Cougars for the fourth consecutive season ... led the Cougars in total blocks (61) and hitting percentage (.287) during the conference schedule and finished third on the team in both kills (134) and service aces (22) ... tied her career high with nine blocks against Thompson Rivers on Nov. 12 ... had a season-high 13 kills and a .545 hitting percentage in a win over Saskatchewan (Nov. 3) ... ends her career ranked second on the U of R's all-time list in both service aces (96) and total blocks (249) and third in hitting percentage (.267).

UNIVERSITY OF REGINA 2010-11: Started all 18 Canada West matches and played in all 63 sets for the Cougars ... tied Michelle Sweeting for the team lead with a .239 hitting percentage ... finished third on the Cougars with 21 service aces and second on the team with 49 total blocks ... had a career-high nine blocks at Manitoba on Nov. 6 ... had a career-high 14 kills against Saskatchewan (Feb. 11) ... finished the season ranked second on the U of R's all-time rally-point era career list in service aces (74) and third in both hitting percentage (.258) and total blocks (188).

UNIVERSITY OF REGINA 2009-10: Named an Academic All-Canadian ... started all 20 conference matches and was one of three Cougars to appear in all 76 sets ... had a .251 hitting percentage and recorded 80 kills, 57 digs, 57 blocks, and 20 service aces during the conference schedule ... had eight kills against Calgary (Jan. 30) and in the Canada West bronze medal match against Trinity Western (Feb. 27) ... recorded a season-high six total blocks three times ... had seven kills and no errors on 11 attacks for a .636 hitting percentage against Simon Fraser (Jan. 23) ... started all seven postseason games and finished second on the team with 17 total blocks.

UNIVERSITY OF REGINA 2008-09: Named an Academic All-Canadian ... started all 20 matches for the Cougars at middle blocker and played in 75 of the team's 77 sets ... led the team with a .316 hitting percentage (97 kills and 24 errors on 231 attacks) ... finished third on the team with 35 total blocks (four solo, 31 assisted) ... had a season-high 12 kills at Thompson Rivers (Feb. 7) ... had ten kills and a .500 hitting percentage against Calgary (Nov. 29).

UNIVERSITY OF REGINA 2007-08: Named an Academic All-Canadian ... appeared in 55 of the team's 69 sets and 16 matches during the regular season ... had 29 kills and a .186 hitting percentage ... tied for second on the team with 18 service aces ... finished second on the Cougars with 48 total blocks ... averaged 0.87 blocks per set ...had four blocks, three kills, and a service ace during the team's two-match playoff series at Calgary.

PERSONAL: Daughter of John and Linda Nilson ... majoring in biology ... has one sister (Ingrid) ... father played basketball at Pacific Lutheran University ... aunt JoAnn Nilson played basketball at the U of R ... attended Junior National Team camps in 2005, 2006, and 2007 ... full name is Solveig Marit Nilson ... a 2007 graduate of Campbell Collegiate ... team finished as city runner-up in both 2005 and 2006 ... was a two-time city all-star with the Tartans ... played with current U of R teammate Kaitlyn Hughes and former Cougar Kim Brodt at Campbell ... named team’s MVP in 2006 ... was also a two-time RHSAA all-star for Campbell’s basketball team ... played for the Cougar Radz Volleyball Club for three seasons ... won provincial championships in 2006 and 2007 with the Radz ... placed ninth at nationals with the Radz in both 2006 and 2007 ... also played for three seasons with the Bantam Radz and for one season with the Western Stars ... was a member of Team Saskatchewan which placed sixth at the 2009 Canada Summer Games in Prince Edward Island ... was a two-year member of the Team Saskatchewan juvenile team and a three-year member of the midget team ... team finished in third place at the 2003 Midget Western Elites ... also played provincial-level basketball for two seasons.
