PERSONAL: Enrolled in Campion Arts ... played for the Manitoba Female Midget Hockey League's Central Plains Capitals for four seasons prior to coming to the U of R ... had her finest offensive season in 2011-12, serving as the Capitals' team captain and finishing second on Central Plains with 14 points in 18 regular season games ... won a bronze medal with Team Manitoba at the 2011 National Women's Under-18 Championship in Quebec ... also participated in the 2010 Power Smart Manitoba Winter Games, helping Team Central win gold at the eight-team event ... is the U of R's first player from Manitoba since former Cougar defenceman Brooke Einarson wrapped up her five-year career following the 2008-09 season.
