Biography

UNIVERSITY OF REGINA 2012-13: Joined the Cougars at midseason and played in 10 Canada West games in his first year of CIS eligibility ... had 17 shots on net and an even plus/minus rating during the conference schedule ... also played in the team's two Canada West quarterfinal games at Manitoba.

PERSONAL: Enrolled in the Centre for Continuing Education ... spent four full seasons with Kootenay (WHL) before coming to the U of R, two of which were while current Cougars head coach Todd Johnson was with the ICE as an assistant ... selected by the Edmonton Oilers in the sixth round of the 2010 NHL Entry Draft ... won a Western Hockey League championship with Kootenay and made an appearance in the Memorial Cup during the 2010-11 season ... played in 227 career regular season games in the WHL, scoring 48 goals and adding 62 assists for 110 points ... best statistical season was in 2011-12, when he tallied 32 points in just 40 games as Kootenay's captain but missed over half the year due to injury ... suited up for the Regina Pat Canadians in 2007-08 before making the Kootenay roster as a 16-year-old.
