Tayler Firth's second goal of the season came in the 77th minute and proved to be the game-winning strike as the University of Regina's women's soccer team recorded a 1-0 road victory over the Manitoba Bisons on Saturday morning.

Firth took a nice through ball from Meagan Cormier and slipped the ball past Manitoba keeper Chloe Werle, who came out to challenge the first-year forward.

Michelle Anderson made eight saves to secure her third shutout of the year, which ties her own 2008 mark for the most clean sheets in a single season by a U of R keeper.

Werle made one save for Manitoba, which falls to 1-8-4 with the loss.

The Cougars (4-7-2) will square off with the Bisons again on Sunday afternoon to close out their 2010 season.
