The No. 3-ranked UBC Thunderbirds scored three goals in the first half and cruised to a 3-0 victory over the University of Regina on Saturday afternoon in a Canada West women's soccer match in Vancouver.
Kelly Cook scored for the Thunderbirds in the fourth minute, then added another in the 15th minute to put UBC up by two. Janine Frazao scored her Canada West-leading fifth goal of the season in the 39th minute, sending the Thunderbirds into halftime with a three-goal advantage.

Meagan Cormier into the game. The Cougars didn't concede any goals in the second half, but weren't able to beat UBC keeper Meghan Best either.
The loss drops Regina's record to 1-2-1 on the season. The Cougars, tied for fifth place in the conference with Saskatchewan, will be back in action next weekend a pair of road games at Lethbridge (0-4-0) and Calgary (0-3-1).
