Daniela Fuenzalida's fourth goal of the season stood as the lone strike of the match as the University of Regina's women's soccer team lost 1-0 to the Saskatchewan Huskies on Saturday afternoon in Saskatoon.

After the two teams had played over two-thirds of the match without a goal, Fuenzalida broke the goose egg with a goal in the 62nd minute with a helper from Aashna Singhi. The Cougars had a late chance with a corner kick in the 89th, but were unable to come up with a late tying goal.

Saskatchewan's record improves to 6-5-2 as the Huskies remain embroiled in a three-way battle with Calgary (6-4-3) and Victoria (6-4-3) for the fourth and final Canada West postseason berth.

Both Saskatchewan and Regina (1-10-2) attempted five shots during the match. Marissa Wilford had a three-save shutout for the Huskies, while Cougar goalkeeper Michelle Anderson matched her counterpart with a trio of saves.

The Cougars will finish off their 2011 season on Sunday afternoon at No. 9 Alberta (9-4-0).
