Box Score

The University of Regina's men's basketball team gave up the first 13 points of the game and suffered a 94-69 road loss to Lethbridge on Friday night.

The Cougars chipped away at the lead in the second quarter and got to within two points after a pair of Paul Gareau free throws, but that was as close as they'd be able to come. Lethbridge reeled off a 17-5 run and took a 12-point lead into halftime, then opened the third quarter with a 17-4 run and never looked back.

Five Pronghorns broke into double figures in scoring, led by 17 points from Julian Spear Chief-Morris. Daryl Cooper, Morgan Duce, and Terrance Blake all had 14 points for Lethbridge, while Dominyc Coward chipped in with 13.

Sterling Nostedt came off the bench to hit four three-pointers and lead the Cougars with 18 points, while Gareau ended up with 11.

Regina (5-13) and Lethbridge (10-9) will meet again on Saturday night.
