Cougars to square off against undefeated Dinos

SATURDAY: vs. Calgary, 12:00 p.m. (U of R Field)
SUNDAY: vs. Calgary, 12:00 p.m. (U of R Field)

The University of Regina women's soccer team is to meet the only undefeated team in the Prairie Division this weekend as they will play a pair of home games against the No. 8-ranked Calgary Dinos.

The Cougars travelled to Lethbridge last weekend where they earned a win and a tie. Saturday's contest was played to a 0-0 draw and Sunday's match resulted in a 1-0 Regina win, as rookie Sarah Moroziuk (pictured) scored in the 77th minute.

Moroziuk is tied with Veronica Boesch for the team lead in points heading into the weekend with six. Both players have a pair of goals to their credit.

Cougar goalkeeper Kacey McFee is tied for third in the country with two shutouts on the season, both of which came last weekend at Lethbridge.

The Cougars sit in fourth place in the Prairie Division standings with a 3-2-1 record, while Calgary holds the top spot at 4-0-2.

The Dinos also registered a win and a tie last weekend, as they tied the Saskatchewan Huskies 3-3 on Saturday and won 2-1 on Sunday.

"We recognize that this weekend will be a tough test and we respect their style of play," Cougars head coach Bob Maltman said. "We are very confident in our abilities and we'll be looking to maintain focus and take advantage of situations on both days to lead us to positive results."

Both matches are scheduled to kick off at noon at the U of R Field.
