Women's Soccer
The Cougars Women's Soccer team concluded their season with a pair of games against the rival University of Saskatchewan Huskies.

Friday's matchup took place at the University of Regina. It was senior night, and 10 graduating players were honored before the match. However, it was 1
st year
Savana Caligiuri that was the hero, scoring the game's lone goal in the 36
th minute off an assist from
Makenna Sackmann.
Â
Peyton Magnuson was crucial in goal, making 9 saves. Caligiuri, Sackmann, and
Peyton Enns all added shots on goal.
Â
Saturday's match took place in Saskatoon. The Huskies scored in the 7
th minute and added 2 more in the second half to take it 3-0. Magnuson got the start in goal once again and had 3 saves.
Women's Basketball
The Cougars Women's Basketball team wrapped up their non-conference schedule with a pair of games in Toronto.

On Friday, the Cougars travelled to the University of Toronto to take on the Varsity Blues.
The Cougars got off to a hot start and took a comfortable 59-42 lead into the 4
th quarter, ultimately winning 75-63.

Eden Wells had her best game of the preseason, scoring 26 points on 50% shooting from the field, while adding 5 rebounds, 4 assists, and 5 steals.
Jade Belmore also had an efficient night, scoring 12 points in just 15 minutes.

On Saturday, the Cougars matched up against the TMU Bold. The game started close, but TMU pulled away in the 4
th quarter to take it 88-57. They hit 12-20 three-point attempts in the game.

Belmore led the cougars in scoring with 13, while Wells added 11.

The Cougars begin the Canada West schedule with a bye week, before hosting the Manitoba Bisons at 6:00 PM on Oct. 31
st and 5:00 PM on Nov. 1
st to kick off their Canada West campaign. Â

Women's Volleyball
The Cougars Women's volleyball team opened up their season against Winnipeg in electric fashion on Friday. After dropping the first two sets 29-27 and 25-15, the Cougars rallied back and won the next three 25-19, 25-15, and 16-14 to win 3-2.

Jordy McEachern led the Cougars with 18 kills and 16 digs.
Cassadi Klapak had 44 assists, and
Zoey Thompson added 9 blocks.

On Saturday, Winnipeg won 3-0.
Samantha Krausher led the Cougars in kills (7), and digs (11).

The Cougars continue their season this weekend, when they will host the UBCO Heat at 6:00 PM on Friday, Oct. 24 and Saturday, Oct. 25

Men's Basketball
The Cougars Men's Basketball team also wrapped up their preseason schedule over the weekend, when they headed to BC to take on Trinity Western and Fraser Valley.

Thursday's game against Trinity Western did not go the Cougars way, as they lost 94-86 in a high-scoring affair.
Â
Friday's game was another high-scoring contest, with Fraser Valley winning 95-92.

Ben Kamba led the Cougars with 16 points, and
Cade Mather (14),
Kaz Dornstauder (13),
Isaiah Bay (13),
Lodie Kenyi (12), and
Sufyan Elkannan (12) also added double digits.
