University of Regina Rams offensive lineman
Connor Klassen was selected by the BC Lions in the fourth round of the 2025 CFL Draft on Tuesday night.
Klassen joined the Rams in 2023 after playing three seasons with the Regina Thunder and immediately stepped in as a starter with the program. He has been a cornerstone on the offensive line at right tackle for the Rams, starting all 16 Canada West games in his two years with the team as well as in all 3 postseason games during the team's run to the Mitchell Bowl.
Klassen, who was taken with the 37th overall selection in the draft, will report to BC's training camp next Tuesday in Kamloops, B.C. First-year Lions begin training camp next Wednesday, with veterans arriving at Hillside Stadium on Saturday, May 10.
NOTES: Klassen is the 46th Rams player to have been selected in the CFL Draft since the U of R joined Canada West football prior to the 1999 season ... Klassen joins Jason Clermont (2002), Jeremy Zver (2017), and Ryder Varga (2023) as U of R players to have been drafted by BC.
