Women's Soccer
The Cougars captured a critical six-point weekend with two road wins in matches against Lethbridge, winning 2-0 on Saturday and 4-1 on Sunday. Kirsten Koellmel (pictured) led the charge offensively, scoring both goals on Saturday and adding another on Sunday. Savana Caligiuri scored her first Canada West goal to open the scoring on Sunday, and Natalia McCullough and Peyton Enns also chipped in with goals.
Peyton Magnuson was the winning goalkeeper in both games, making six saves on Saturday and two on Sunday.
The Cougars will be back at home this coming weekend, as the hunt for a Canada West playoff berth continues with matches against Alberta and MacEwan.

Cross Country
The Cougars competed in the Dakota Classic in Saskatoon on Saturday, with the men's team placing second in the team standings and the women finishing fourth. Adonias Downes took first place on the men's side, with Ian Teichler (6th), Alex Teichler (7th) and Brett MacLean (8th) also finishing in the top 10. Harper Lebell was the top Cougar finisher on the women's side, placing 10th overall.
Next up for the Cougars is the Canada West Challenge in Calgary on October 4.

Women's Volleyball
The Cougars attended the Bison/Wesmen Tournament in Winnipeg on the weekend, defeating Manitoba in five sets to claim the tournament title. The Cougars finished with a perfect 6-0 record throughout the tourney.
The Cougars will head to Ottawa for the Gee-Gees Preseason Classic on October 3rd.

Women's Hockey
The Cougars took on MacEwan and Team Sask in Saskatoon on the weekend, coming away with 3-2 and 2-1 wins. Pippy Pritchard had two goals and an assist in Friday's win over MacEwan, while Makena Kushniruk added a goal and an assist. Jordyn Blais and Tessa Stewart scored for Regina on Saturday. Amy Swayze got the win in net both days. 
The next action for the Cougars will be their Canada West regular-season opener, as they host the Calgary Dinos on Oct. 3 and 4.

Men's Hockey
The Cougars spent the weekend in Winnipeg with two pre-season games lined up against the Manitoba Bisons. Manitoba took a 6-5 decision on Friday but the Cougars rebounded for a 3-2 win on Saturday afternoon.
The Cougars will head to Minot State for a non-conference matchup against the Beavers this coming Saturday.
