THE GAME
The University of Regina Rams have righted the ship after a tough 0-3 start, reeling off consecutive wins at Alberta and against Manitoba to take over fourth place in the Canada West standings with three weeks to go. The U of R will be charged with the task of squaring off on the road against a resurgent UBC program that defeated the Rams in Regina back in Week 1 and was ranked No. 9 in this week's edition of the FRC-CIS Top Ten.

UNIVERSITY OF REGINA RAMS (2-3)
It's amazing what a couple of wins can do for a team.
In a span of just one week, the Rams ascended from the conference cellar to fourth place in the conference standings after back-to-back wins over Alberta and Manitoba.
It's a completely different outlook for the Rams, who fell to 0-3 after a 51-1 home trouncing at the hands of the Calgary Dinos back in Week 3. Now, Regina holds possession of the fourth and final Canada West postseason spot with three critical games to go.
The Rams' ground game is led by fifth-year running back
Adrian Charles, who leads the nation in rushing yards per game and is fresh off setting the school's single-game rushes record in the Week 5 win over Manitoba (more below).
Zach Oleynik will get his third consecutive start at quarterback for the Rams, as the second-year converted slotback has thrown for 433 yards and five touchdowns in his two starts under centre.
Second-year slotback
Jared Janotta leads the Rams in receptions (23), receiving yards (340), and touchdown catches (3), while
Mark McConkey (13) and
Brenden Owens (11) have also broken into double figures in receptions for the season.
Defensive lineman
Akiem Hicks continues to have a monster season for the Rams, as he leads the team with 25½ tackles as well as registering 3½ sacks on the season. Cornerback
Jamir Walker is tied for second in the conference in both interceptions (2) and passes defended (5), while dimeback
Steve Famulak is the reigning Canada West Defensive Player of the Week.
The Rams will return to action next weekend at home against Saskatchewan (Oct. 22).
UNIVERSITY OF BRITISH COLUMBIA THUNDERBIRDS (3-2)
Ranked No. 9 in the country, the UBC Thunderbirds can clinch their first postseason spot since 2006 and ensure a finish no lower than third place in the Canada West standings with a victory over Regina on Saturday.
Led by fourth-year quarterback Billy Greene, UBC boasts the second-ranked offence in the conference. Greene — who was named the Canada West Offensive Player of the Week back on Sept. 26 — is the definition of a dual-threat quarterback. He leads the conference in all major passing categories and also ranks fourth in the conference with 388 rushing yards. Greene's top target has been Jordan Grieve, who currently stands second in Canada West in receptions (29), receiving yards (559), and touchdown catches (4).
Greene isn't the only rushing threat on UBC, as running back Dave Boyd has been effective on the ground with 71 rushes for 422 yards this season.
UBC's defence allows a league-worst 531 yards against per game, but defensive lineman Serge Kaminsky leads the conference with five sacks and is tied with Regina linebacker
Austin Bates for the Canada West lead with 6½ tackles for loss.
After Saturday's game, UBC finishes off the conference schedule on the road against Alberta and at home against Calgary.
