Three members of the University of Regina's track & field teams headed up to Saskatoon over the weekend to compete in the Knights of Columbus Games, an invitational meet held at the Saskatoon Fieldhouse.

Shelaine Pritchard represented the Cougars in the shot put, an event which was won by two-time Olympian Sarah Mitton. Pritchard placed sixth with a top throw of 13.29 metres.

Femi Akinloye and Adam Sieben entered both the 50-metre dash and the 60-metre dash. Sieben (pictured) qualified for the final in the 50, which was won by Nigerian Olympian and U of R alumnus Usheoritse Itsekiri. Sieben placed eighth with a time of 5.86 seconds in the final.

Akinloye missed qualifying for the 60 final by a fraction of a second, ending up with a time of 6.82 seconds to place ninth in the preliminaries.

The Cougars are back in action next weekend as they'll take a full squad out to Winnipeg for the Bison Classic on Friday and Saturday at the James Daly Fieldhouse on the University of Manitoba campus.
