Kelly Wiebe (pictured, left) finished in third place in an elite 26-runner field on Saturday in the senior men's division at the 2013 NACAC Cross Country Championships held in Mandeville, Jamaica.

Wiebe finished the 8100-metre course in 25:04, finishing 17 seconds behind teammate Cameron Levins (Canada) and 18 seconds behind individual champion Craig Forys (24:46). Wiebe's performance helped Team Canada place second as a team, as they were edged by the United States by four points in the overall standings.

Host Jamaica finished in third place, while Trinidad & Tobago's entry finished fourth.

This was the second time Wiebe has participated at NACAC, as he also represented Team Canada in 2011 and finished in ninth place at the race held in Trinidad & Tobago.

Wiebe and the rest of Team Canada will now prepare for the 2013 IAAF World Cross Country Championships, which will be held in Bydgoszcz, Poland in late March. Wiebe also participated in the event back in 2011.

NOTES: Wiebe was one of two Team Canada runners at NACAC to hail from Saskatchewan, as Regina's Simon Bairu also competed.
