The Alberta Pandas won three matches – all in straight sets – to take home first place at the four-team Cougar Invitational over the weekend at the Centre for Kinesiology, Health & Sport.
The host Cougars finished with a 1-2 record after outlasting Manitoba for a five-set win on Friday night, but followed that up with three-set losses to Alberta and Brandon on Saturday and Sunday, respectively.
The Cougars will continue their non-conference schedule next weekend at the Unruh Realty Invitational at the University of Winnipeg.
