Cymone Bouchard starred for the University of Regina’s women’s basketball team for five seasons, helping the Cougars to the program’s first national title during the 2000-01 season. Bouchard was named the MVP of the CIAU Championship that season, leading the Cougars to victories over McMaster, Calgary, and Alberta to win the Bronze Baby. She won the Nan Copp Award in 2004 as the CIS Player of the Year, was named the CIS Defensive Player of the Year in 2003, and was a two time All-Canadian. Bouchard also stands as the U of R’s all-time leader in points scored, collecting 1439 in 96 conference games during her career.
