Ernie Nicholls was a faculty member of the Faculty of Physical Education and the Faculty of Physical Activity Studies from 1961 to 2001, including several years as the assistant dean. Nicholls held several posts within the U of R’s athletic program, including men’s volleyball coach, men’s basketball coach, men’s curling coach, and athletics director. He was also the director of the U of R’s intramural sports program. Nicholls represented the University of Regina on over 60 committees dealing with sport development.
