Kevin Gilroy was a five-season member of the University of Regina’s men’s basketball team, making an immediate impact as a rookie in 1993-94 and finishing up his career in 1997-98. Gilroy was a three-time Great Plains Athletic Conference all-star, a two-time GPAC MVP, and a two-time first-team All-Canadian during his time as a Cougar. His finest season came in his last year with the U of R, as he set a school record with an average of 25.7 points per game and also pulled down 9.8 rebounds per contest. Gilroy was the recipient of the University of Regina President’s Award in both 1996 and 1998.
