Jim Burnett was a five-year member of the University of Regina’s men’s wrestling team. His career started in the 1969-70 season and wrapped up in 1973-74. Burnett was a four-time conference medalist, including a first-place finish in the 142-pound weight class at the 1972 WCIAA tournament. Burnett would go on to become the silver medalist at the 1972 CIAU Championships and was a CIAU bronze medalist in 1973.
